A great challenge hath been made beside the Royal Sign Post (that’s what we call our chatroom). On the occassion of this gathering… of which thy king is witness…

…the Ladies did challenge the Sirs to a Joust…

…and the challenge was ACCEPTED!

The Joust Tournament shall begin this Sunday, October 12, 2008, at 12:01 am Central time (when the server turns over) and ends the following Saturday with server turnover.

Leading for the Ladies is none other than Lady mickey143 with her Royal Jesterettes!

AND…

Leading the Sirs is none other than Sir bluescorpion with his Royal Scorpions!

Sir bluescorpion wishes to communicate the following to ALL citizens of the Sir persuasion…

“To all Sirs! To Arms! The Ladies hath challenged us, to a Joust! PM me (bluescorpion), to be included, in this Quest! Let’s show those Ladies, that they ‘Can’t Dance the Dance.’”

This is a competition that ALL citizens may join in regardless of thy level. Ye do NOT need to be upgraded to join in the fun. All ye need is…

…a yearning desire for Victory

…to be ye Lady or Sir (every citizen can change their Title to Lady or Sir by clicking on Thy Settings, scroll down to Account Settings, enter thy password, change thy Title and click Save)

…send a PM (Private Message) to Lady mickey143 or Sir bluescorpion as appropriate and express thy interest in joining the Joust

The stakes are high and should be of interest to ALL citizens. What prize await the victors?

…naturally, Bragging Rights and Honor!

…the normal typical prizes for placing on the Joust Top 25 shall be at least DOUBLE!

…PLUS, those on the Top 25 Winners list who are on the winning team shall each receive an Additional 1000 credits! This could mean several thousand credits for some of our Jousters!

The rules?

…any citizen can participate regardless of level

…ye must be on one team or the other, the Ladies or the Sirs - again, contact Lady mickey143 or Sir bluescorpion to join the team

…ye must adjust thy title to be Lady or Sir — see instructions above on how to do this

…team members must be recorded and provided to the king by the respective team leaders no later than Wednesday, October 15, during the week of the Joust — this will allow the gathering of thy knights as the excitement builds

Important Note: The Joust begins on Sunday, October 12th, but each team may continue to recruit members to join their team through Wednesday. This way, citizens are allowed to join the fun as the excitement builds.

…ONLY those winning team members who appear under “Last Week’s Joust Tournament Results” as Top 25 Winners when the Joust ends, receive the additional 1000 credits — ye will find this by clicking on the Joust Past button

…the winning team is decided based upon the team members who appear under “Last Week’s Joust Tournament Results” when the Joust ends — ONLY those Top 25 winners will be considered, and ONLY those specifically on a team

…scoring will be based first on total number of Victories for each team member on the Top 25 Winners list, then least number of Defeats, and finally, any ties are broken by total pages surfed

RoyalSurf’s Great Feast or Famine
Tis thy king bringing ye great news and royal decrees to be spread throughout all the realms! A time of Great Feast may well be upon ye or, if ye surf poorly, Great Famine. I know that ye are wise or ye would not be a citizen of this “Crowned Jewel of Traffic Exchanges,” so I hath faith that ye enter the time of Great Feast.

All throughout the great month of October there shall be a Great Feast in the Royal Kingdom — a Grande time of Contests, Bonuses, and Fun! Each day ye will find treasures available to our fine citizens all across the kingdom, regardless of status within the kingdom. For thy pleasure shall there be Free Upgrades, Credits, Advertising, and Cash for the Winning — again, each and every day shall ye find these!

While there may be some other qualifications, the primary one will be to Surf for the Feast. Most of the time ye will need to login to determine what’s happening because we won’t send you an email every day of October.

Additionally, there will be unannounced awards and bonuses throughout the month for those surfing, promoting RoyalSurf, and even for those who use our chatroom.

There are going to be many, many prizes and plenty of Cash prizes given away too!

During all day today (Wednesday, October 1st, Central Time), I have raised surf ratios for all members. Base surf ratios through today (and maybe into Thursday) will be:

Royal Citizen: 0.5 credits for every site viewed; normally the base ratio starts at 0.33 credits for every site viewed

Royal Squire: 0.85 credits for every site viewed; normally the base ratio starts at 0.65 credits for every site viewed

Royal Knight: 1.1 credits for every site viewed; normally the base ratio starts at 1.0 credits for every site viewed

If ye hath been getting your daily Strength/Surf Ratio Bonus for surfing 100 sites each day, and assuming you’ve done so Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, you will especially love the fact that your surf ratio starting out today is already:

Royal Citizen: 0.65 credits for every site viewed
Royal Squire: 1.0 credits for every site viewed
Royal Knight: 1.25 credits for every site viewed

If the surf activity picks up substantially I may even leave this into Thursday for a while.

Watch for Important Announcement
Ye will want to watch for important information that I will impart to ye later this afternoon or evening, and I want to make sure ye don’t miss it.

Daily Surf 250 Suspended
With the completion of this week, we are suspended the Daily Surf 250 until further notice. This is occurring because

1) It’s not having the desired effect,

2) Citizens are not assigning the impressions they win, and

3) We can’t keep up.

The key though is that citizens aren’t using them so why keep awarding what isn’t being used. Lately, we’ve been routinely running out of text links in rotation while our citizens have plenty to assign.

If ye would like us to keep this and start it up again, then please let thy voices be heard. Let us know that you like it and be sure to assign the impressions you’ve been receiving.

Increased Commissions up to 50%
We’ve increased the commissions we pay for referring citizens who upgrade to as high as 50% now. Commissions paid for purchases of traffic credits hath been increased as well. Here are the Customer Rewards (commissions) ye can earn:

Thy king hath a birthday during October and it is thy undertaking to guess what day. Ye need only guess the numeric day and do not need to guess the year, for I will not reveal the year other than to say I’ll be 38 again. We shall not discuss how many times I’ve been 38.

To break any possible ties, ye need to also guess where thy king was borne; it is a city and state within the United States.
