Good Home Remedies for the Cold?

All that lack of sleep at the Focus Marketing Seminar caught up with me I guess. I found a couple days after I got back I was really dragging and then suddenly, Wednesday evening, I got taken down with a really nasty cold. Actually, I think it’s the flu because it’s severe enough that for the most part it’s kept me in bed over the past 2 days.

Any way, it got me to thinking that I most often do this to myself and I can pretty much cause myself to get sick just by going several days with little to no sleep.  You’d think I’d learn but here I am again.  Well, at least this time the event was worth losing sleep over. ;)

I was wondering if anyone else has the same kind of experience with depriving themselves of sleep for too many days.  But more importantly, I’d like to hear any good home remedies (secrets) that you might have to quickly knock out a Cold or the flu?  And, if you have a good recipe for a “Hot Toddy” I think I could use one of those about now.   Even if it doesn’t help it’s sure to make me care a lot less.  ;)

Seriously, I’m sure a lot of RoyalSurfers would love to learn of great ways to knock out or lessen the effect of a Cold or the flu, so please do share any home remedies or secrets that you might have.

Quests Can Earn You 1,000 Credits

If you surf the RoyalSurf manual traffic exchange for more than 15 sites, you quickly discover that a Quest map is displayed. These Quest maps are displayed after every 15 sites surfed and allow you to make one move each time it is displayed. There are a total of 10 Quests to complete through each week starting on Sunday and ending each Saturday. (Note: Once all 10 Quests have been successfully completed the Quest map no longer displays until the tournament game resets).

Completion of Quests form a tournament in which the winner is the knight with the most victories, the least number of defeats, and in the event of a tie, the highest number of pages surfed. While it will take a good amount of surfing to successfully complete all 10 Quests, note that the number of pages surfed is actually the least important factor in determining who wins the tournament. Playing this game involves some strategy and a wise player will learn to balance their moves to improve the likelihood of successfully completing each Quest.

At the end of each Quest, the player must face a “beastie” or “baddie” and there is a real chance that the player will be defeated.

If you are defeated, you collect a small bonus (5 credits per Bronze Coin you found) and you must begin that Quest again… except, items found during your Quest won’t necessarily be found in the same locations again.

If you are victorious, you collect a bonus (5 credits per Bronze Coin you found) MULTIPLIED by some secret Quest Multiplier that INCREASES with each successfully completed Quest.

Notice that Bronze Coins are the KEY to your bonuses. Make sure you always find at LEAST ONE before ending your Quests or your bonus will be a big fat ZERO credits… Even if you win! :(

With each successfully completed Quest the amount of credits you can win increases such that on the final Quest it’s possible to win 1,000 credits!

If you have an upgraded membership, with each successfully completed Quest you have an additional chance to win 1-2 Royal Coins worth $1 each toward RoyalSurf purchases and a bonus 25 credits each too!

While the Quests get increasingly more rewarding as you progress, you should remember that they get more challenging too. You might consider pacing yourself to complete the final Quests after obtaining your Strength Bonus for all 7 days of the tournament. Then seek out as much “good” magic as possible before facing your nemesis. You will also want to collect as many Bronze Coins as you can to maximize your reward.

If you rush to the end you are almost guaranteed to fail multiple times on the final Quests. Even if you pace yourself properly, consider it a lucky day if you complete the final Quest on your first try.

If you’ve paced yourself strategically through the Quests you may just find yourself among the top 25 Joust Tournament winners at the end of the week. That’s an extra bonus of a few hundred credits to a couple thousand credits.

Even if you don’t place in the Joust Tournament you may still be rewarded. Each week our system randomly rewards up to 20 members who surfed at least 200 sites and participated in the Quests.

No matter what, you never lack for rewards and bonuses at RoyalSurf… if you add them all up you’ll find more here than any where else!

Good luck with your Quests… you’re going to need it! ;)

Great Time at Focus Marketing Seminar

Wow! What a great time I had this past weekend in Washington DC at the Focus Marketing Seminar. It was a great pleasure to meet many of the great people who are part of this online medium we all share. They are as friendly a bunch of people as you could ever want to meet. It was great fun to actually rub elbows with the movers and shakers of the industry!

At the risk of getting in deep trouble for forgetting someone, here are the many people I met, in no particular order…

Jon Olson, Cindy Battye, Paul Kinder, Justin Ledvina, William Brant, Sunny Suggs, Dan Moses, Dan Davis, Mike Paetzold, Jon Atwood, Tony Tezak, Robert Purcell, Soren Jordansen, Tim Linden, Tim Rash, Travis Millward, Ryan Hogan, Solomon Huey, Jen Herold, Ray Herold, and Paul Conway.

If you ever get a chance to attend one of these great events… do it! Meeting all the great people alone will be worth it, not to mention the great information you’ll take back with you.

Save Your Login Information in a Safe Place

Copy and print it for storage offline, store it in a special folder, put it on a zip stick or start an index card file with all important data handwritten on it. You never know when you might need this information in the event - fate forbid - that your computer crashes. It can save you a lot of grief and will give you more peace of mind knowing that you have taken this precaution, if you are a serious online business person.

Do NOT Overlook Banners and Text Links as Viable Advertising Opportunities!

Repetition is a very important part of using traffic exchanges for advertising. Having your banners and text links in rotation, so that they show often on the surfbar, can potentially bring you more business. So don’t “slight” that when you set up your advertising “campaigns” on RoyalSurf. You might be amazed at how many “click-thru’s” you will get with a catchy text link or a cheerful and colorful banner.

The use of banners is also an especially good way to brand your business and/or yourself. Promoting banners with your own photo on them can work wonders for your online success.

Just make sure that what you submit complies with the RoyalSurf Terms of Service before submitting. We do enforce the TOS for text links and banners, too.

Adding a New URL to Your Account

Open the “Thy Websites” link on your RoyalSurf account and add your URL(s) up to the limit of what your membership level allows. If you enter your site’s URL multiple times the traffic that your site receives will be increased.

Once you have done that, be sure to go to the “Assign Credits” page and assign your credits. You can also set your auto-assign ratio for each site that you have submitted for rotation. It’s important that your total auto-assign percentage equals the minimum indicated or you won’t be able to surf.
