A sure way to lull surfers into “not” paying attention to the sites they view, is to show them too little variety.
When traffic exchanges first began they were primarily used by people who owned their own websites, so there were very few duplicate sites and great variety. As exchanges became more popular to the masses of people promoting affiliate programs, variety was quickly replaced with duplication and boredom.
Flat out, looking at hundreds of the same advertising messages over and over again causes people to lose interest.
Television, radio, newspaper and magazine advertisers all get this but it seems few members of traffic exchanges do. I’m sure you’ve noticed that the ads you read, hear and/or see are periodically changed to grab and keep the advertiser’s message in your mind.
Most companies don’t have thousands of other people advertising their products for them so, while you may see or hear their advertising message over and over, you rarely see or hear them back to back, and their messages are usually intermixed with other things that hold interest.
A huge contributor to people not paying attention to the sites rotating in an exchange is that the members are lazy with their advertising. The most frequent thing done by the majority of people using traffic exchanges is to use the same company provided affiliate pages that hundreds of other people are also using.
Fact is, many traffic exchange members contribute to their own poor results by not taking the time to make sure their advertising message is unique and stands out from the crowd.
Some members further contribute to their failure by not properly observing who their target audience is, and then trying to meet their wants or needs. This frequently results in people advertising things that are doomed to failure from the start because few exchange members are interested in what they are offering.
Don’t be lazy with your advertising. Make sure your message stands out, grabs attention, and is unique, and then keep it fresh in the minds of your audience by changing it frequently.
It is time to take responsibility for your results and that means learning and putting to action those things that make a difference. If you want to change your results, STOP advertising the same affiliate pages that everyone else. Either take the time to make your own splash pages or lead capture pages, or hire it done. There are lots of great services that will make them for you, and plenty of online services that let you do it yourself as simple as 1, 2, 3.
By doing so you will have done your part to keep variety in the exchanges you use and the more people who do this will ultimately end with better results for everyone.
Are YOU making traffic exchanges boring?
If you’ve been using traffic exchanges for a few years, perhaps you’ve noticed a decline in the results you have been getting.
There are quite a few experienced marketers who have been taking notice of this, many of which use to be regular buyers of traffic exchange credits but no longer purchase like they use to. They were regular buyers because they routinely got a decent return on their investment in the way of sign ups, opt-ins or referrals — all of which ultimately resulted in sales and justified their purchases.
Several factors go to the core of this trend of declining results, and I applaud Steve Ayling, another traffic exchange owner who has not only been speaking out about this but is taking corrective action too.
In time, I intend to address these many different factors that are adversely affecting results. Today, however, I would like you to consider something quite important and perhaps, controversial, in this equation…
Are surfers contributing to declining traffic exchange results?
When you look at what is happening in the industry today it is almost hard to believe that at one time, traffic exchange members surfed on their own, of their own accord, to get traffic to their sites and get exposure to their websites.
Surfers didn’t have to be “bribed” to surf because they weren’t just surfers, they were serious marketers with an actual goal in mind.
More than ever before people are bombarded with tons of “daily” bonuses for doing what they once did on their own initiative; credits, banner and text impressions, material prizes and yes, cash too.
This has continued to escalate, with traffic exchanges trying to keep pace with or better their competition, until now most surfers expect (even demand) to be continually rewarded for surfing.
Many surfers are no longer marketers at all. They simply surf relentlessly at whichever exchanges are offering them the most in credits, cash or other prizes; most especially those who have high or no surf limitations.
What use to be normal activity now takes giving away cash and prizes all day long to generate, and it doesn’t even create a residual effect once the promotion is over. Activity typically plummets back the moment the promotion is over, because there is always another promotion being offered by some other exchange for the “surfers” to chase after.
What we end up with is contest and incentive chasers who care little at all for what is being promoted, burning up your hard earned or purchased credits.
Many of these surfers are jamming to music, watching TV, or doing other activities that detract from their ability to pay attention to your sites. For them, it’s all about winning the prize.
Because so many exchanges are offering these incentives and prizes routinely now, many so-called surfers are surfing 10, 12 and as many as 14 or more traffic exchanges at the same time. In my opinion, such people are cheaters just as sure as if they were using automated surf bots.
So what’s the solution?
For starters, stop wanting what you don’t want… Stop chasing cash prizes, the highest bonuses, prizes and surf ratios. This is imperative because as long as people continue to focus on the wrong things, results will suffer.
Start being “marketers” focused on what delivers results and on building yourself an online income. This also means taking responsibility to learn what you need to know to more effectively utilize traffic exchanges.
Give your attention, your loyalty and support to traffic exchanges that get this and are making efforts to change the tide. It won’t hurt for you to start expressing your concerns too at traffic exchanges where the owners are still bribing people to surf.
And, by all means, give the sites you view while surfing the same attention you would like your fellow marketers to give your sites in turn.
Finally, walk the walk and talk the talk. It’s likely you know and even converse with other traffic exchange members. It’s time to speak about such things as “integrity” and “honor” and “responsibility” where using exchanges is concerned.
The results that any traffic exchange can deliver is directly proportional to the willingness of it’s members to adhere to the principle of what makes true traffic “exchange” possible and effective. It comes down to everyone’s willingness to extend the same courtesy they want extended to them while using a traffic exchange — viewing each others sites with the same attention that you’d like extended in return.
There is plenty of blame to go around to we traffic exchange owners too, and yes, I’m sorry to say I have contributed to the problem as well. I’ll delve more into this in the near future.
Every traffic exchange, in order to work effectively, depends on each member’s cooperative participation. This means that if you want and expect others to pay attention to your advertising, you owe them the same courtesy in return.
You cannot simply surf and surf, ignoring everything you see, seeking only to gain traffic for yourself and expect others to behave differently.
If you are the type of person who surfs and never pays attention to what you’re viewing… who never signs up for or purchases anything… you are doing a disservice to other traffic exchange members, and a disservice to yourself too.
To gain the full benefit of using a traffic exchange, it is necessary to pay attention to and learn from what others are doing at a traffic exchange. You can improve your own results by paying attention to what others are advertising, how they are advertising, and what tools they are utilizing.
You should be watching for what catches your eye… what grabs your attention… what tempts you to or actually gets you to join or purchase. Take ideas from the use of titles, colors, and wording and use these in ways to improve your own advertising.
Please don’t plagiarize the exact usage but use things to perfect and test new ideas of your own that can greatly improve the reaction you get to your own advertising.
Try to be objective in your observations too. For instance, don’t automatically discount something being used by someone else simply because you don’t like it personally. A good example of this is audio.
Often, traffic exchange members express that they don’t like audio. Some even say they won’t purchase or signup for anything that starts audio automatically. However, it’s been proven time and time again, that simply adding an appropriate audio to a splash page or squeeze page, often greatly increases the conversion rate (number of sales or signups) of that page.
If you know that fact, as an advertiser, would you worry more about the few people that won’t like your advertisement because it has audio on it or the many more who will respond to it? Your answer had better be the later of the two or you might as well give up.
And finally, watch for products and services that might help you improve your own results, or that might offer more opportunity than what you’re promoting now. Don’t be constantly jumping from one thing to another, but be watchful of trends and changes in the industry. Watch for things that might stimulate ideas of your own.
And, be on the lookout for the better “mouse trap” — paying attention might help you pickup on when things are shifting or when a new idea is first being introduced. Sometimes, your timing and ability to recognize such things can make a significant difference to your financial success.
Keep in mind that if you want to change your success online using traffic exchanges it begins with you. You have to stop being passive, just letting things happen to you. You need to take an active part in making your success happen.
Just throwing a web page out there and driving traffic to it isn’t going to do it. You need to learn how to get the most out of the traffic you drive to those pages. How to make those pages convert to signups or sales. You need to learn about list building. You need to track and perfect your results.
There are many people who are successfully marketing on traffic exchanges… making six-figure incomes… are you?
What income are you making?
Are you making more than you’re spending?
How long have you been doing that?
If you aren’t making money and you’ve been at it for 6 months or more, perhaps it’s time to start listening to those who are.
I know it’s cliché but it’s also very true… its time to stop doing the same old thing you’ve always done and expecting a different result.
Remember, opportunity may knock but it’s not going to walk into your house, setup shop, establish customers for you, and deliver cash to your bank account all on its own.
So why the big speech on the “soap box?”
Funny thing is… most traffic exchange owners “actually” want their members to succeed.
Weird, huh? ![]()

A traffic exchange is very much like a website that provides free traffic to its client websites. You see, often, visitors who surf the net are very restless and do not wish to spend more than 20 seconds in a website. In this method a user is not directly sent to any website, because in such a case the user may click away in some seconds.

Instead, with a traffic exchange, the user is directed to other advertisements which generally contain a better description and details about the actual product or service. The user is attracted with the benefits and offers of the website and goes ahead to know more about the website. In this way the website gets their desired traffic.
Traffic exchange can be done in several ways. One such main method of getting good traffic is through squeeze pages. These pages are like advertisements and usually have headlines, a small description and also auto responders. However, a web visitor is required to provide address where e-mails along with other information can be sent. This has a prolonged effect on the user.
There are two main kinds of programs in traffic exchanges. These are classified as manual traffic exchange programs and automatic programs that are known as auto surfs. If you are really interested in getting manual traffic exchange you can get different kinds of advertising for your website. These will be mainly through splash pages, lead capture pages, text links, banners for the promotion and also affiliate sites. All these are best forms of promotion for websites. The benefits of such manual traffic exchange are many. You get to promote your website and get some high quality targeted traffic for your website, bringing more leads and profits.
Visitors are usually attracted to the website through different forms of advertising. The website is promoted through advertisements and banners. Interesting and informative content is presented in these advertisements with the help of graphics and animation to arouse the interest of the user. The user develops an interest to know more and clicks on to the ad or fills up information. The purpose of the advertisement is served and the website is promoted.
Happy surfing!

A very important part of internet marketing is the squeeze page. It is a webpage designed solely to get the email address. The goal is achieved by urging the visitor to go for opt-in in order to get fantastic information/deals/discounts.

A squeeze page gives a tantalizing glimpse of the main content so that the visitor is compelled to go for the main page. The main aim of doing this is to generate the email list of targeted visitors who can be later converted into dedicated customers.
These kinds of list make up the backbone of internet marketing and squeeze page is the gateway for it. So you can understand the importance of squeeze page for both online and offline marketing. So to help you in driving traffic to your squeeze page, here are some squeeze page traffic tips for both online and offline marketing.
• First make sure that your squeeze page is very attractive. From the theme to color scheme everything should be perfect.
• Next comes the content of the page. There is a catch here; if you provide just a little information and promise that rest will be revealed only when the visitor provides his or her email address, then you may lose some of them. Many are offended that just in order to see some site they have to divulge their email address. So make sure you provide enough information so that the visitor knows that you have something valuable to offer and that more is there in the main site that is worth giving their email address for.
• Well written articles related to your field of work and placed in such sites like Ezine, hub page or Squidoo is another good idea. This sites let you link back to your squeeze page which then can be used for obtaining the email address of the visitor. Make sure you offer some kind of free be in the articles so that the customer is intrigued enough to click on the link.
• Squeeze page are often overlooked by site engines as they have no real content but only links. In order to crack this impasse what you can do is write SEO rich articles with links to your squeeze page and place them in the same domain. That way, search sites like Google with consider your webpage for its content and help you drive traffic to your squeeze page.

Without a doubt, getting traffic to a website is of utmost importance to your business growth and development, not to mention sales! In short, until you get people coming to your site, your purpose will not be served and money won’t flow into your accounts. I.E. you will not be able to make money as you won’t be getting business.

The bottom line is thus: If any website is not getting the required number of qualified visitors its way, it means that the website lacks for something. And this something is generally visibility.
You see, users are not able to get the website when they are looking for its products and services. What should be done in such a situation? In such a situation webmasters need to increase the visibility of their website.
How to Increase Website Visibility
There are a number of ways in which you can get free website traffic to your site. This includes several techniques such as search engine optimization (SEO), often in combination of any of the following: link building, article writing and submission, social bookmarking, social media marketing, article submission and directory submission services. In each of these methods the main aim to promote the website. Links are exchanged between two or more websites so that free flow of traffic can be got from these sites. Advertisements in the form of banner ads projecting the main offers of the website along with its benefits can do wonders for any business. If the website has more online presence its visibility will surely increase.
Many SEO experts believe that having informative content in a website can bring in lot of traffic. The content should not be an assembly of information arranged in a haphazard manner, but it should be presented in a way so that the user gets all information that they are looking for. Keywords that highlight many services or products should also be used several times in the content which acts as a tool of SEO. Marketers lay stress on the fact that users should get what they want or else they will not come back to the website. In such a case you will lose your repeat customers.
Though there are many ways in which you can get traffic to your website some may cost you some money too. There are plenty of other ways in which you can bring in traffic to your website without having to spend any money. The traffic generation remains the same and the benefits derived are many.
That’s all for now. Happy surfing!
